MISSION: Equipping working women to confidently pursue their faith and career for the glory of God.
Grow FAITH: Promote spiritual growth in working women.
Create FELLOWSHIP: Build relationships with respect, integrity, and accountability.
Impact the COMMUNITY: Sowing seeds into women in order to grow the Kingdom.
Growing faith and creating fellowship are the goals of the individual small groups. Impacting the community occurs at the organizational level through our Living Bread and Dough Starter Funds.
The number of women in the workplace and leadership continues to rise. More women are starting businesses and seeking funding to do so. Gender equality has become an everyday topic as it relates to pay and top positions in companies of all sizes.
While many women are not striving to reach the top of their organization, they likely experience the same exhaustion from striving to find their place in the midst of competing priorities at work. Whether it is looking for approval, a title, promotion or a higher salary, this striving leaves us unfulfilled and wanting more.
The fulfillment we seek from our work can only be found when we fully integrate our faith and work-life. This way of working requires us to change how we think about our work and the people we connect with through it.
Women in the Marketplace was created to bring resources to women who want to bring their faith into their work but struggle to do so. We want to experience success, but not sacrifice who we are in the process. Without community to help us in the journey, we can easily loose our way.
WiM small groups create space for the Holy Spirit to cultivate lasting relationships that strengthen us as individuals to have the courage to impact our companies and those around us.
WiM Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, and all of our teaching is rooted in scripture.
We believe there is one true God existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who created all things in heaven and on earth.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins, was buried, and rose again to grant us salvation.
We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit working through all believers to bring the Kingdom to earth.
We believe in spiritual unity of all Christian denominations as One Body of believers.
We believe all humanity is created in the image of God and accept all women to become members, regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation.
