Love Is In Us

2022

Most of us by now have heard that sarcastic saying that 2022 will be 2020 “part two.” Consider instead that every human on earth has the opportunity to choose what this year will be like, and therefore collectively what the world will be like.

The past year seems to be the pinnacle of a decade or more of rising hate, anger, judgment, bitterness, resentment … the list goes on and on. The scales of human emotion have tilted far to one side, filled with things that lead to death. Under the rubble of our society lies THE truth: our God is THE God of resurrection.

Fortunately, the human race is not completely dead so to tip the scales to the side of life is no great task needing some grand miracle. We need merely ONE thing: Love.

It begins and ends with US, the body of believers in the God of life, the God of resurrection, the God of UNCONDITONAL love. We sit in our churches and in our quiet time or throughout the day praying, pleading for God to move, for God to come and help. I believe that God is speaking back to our requests, “I have, and I’m waiting.”

We have been so greatly equipped. God came into His creation and taught us exactly what to do and how to do it through the life of Jesus and gave to us the Holy Spirit to be our counselor and guide. Moreover, as we choose, God abides within us.
