Crayons to Confidence

In this blog we interview Bethany Harper Roth, MFHD about her journey to starting Crayons to Confidence, offering parenting resources and community to support parents in raising confidence and competent children.

WiM: Tell us a little about your business. What do you provide? When did you get started?

BHR: I run a parent education company called Crayons to Confidence. We create courses, host coaching classes, and provide various resources for parents looking to raise mentally and emotionally healthy children. We launched our official membership and our company benefits package in September of 2022, but we’ve been providing consultations and educational services since 2019!

WiM: What motivated you to start your business?

BHR: If I’m being honest, this is where God comes in, because I really didn’t “start” much of anything. In the beginning, I was teaching kindergarten at a Title I school in Nashville, TN. I developed such a heart for those children, so I was toying with the idea of transitioning out of the classroom and into Family Advocacy. In 2019, I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Child and Family Development, planning to transition the following year. But we all know what happened in 2020 …

Virtual kindergarten is NOT for the weak of heart, and looking back, the Lord was undoubtedly preparing me for something far beyond my expectations. I taught school online until 3 PM every day, and then spent all evening making downloadable resources for parents who needed help homeschool
